Basic Requirements

Married (Submit a 'copy' of your MARRIAGE LICENSE)
A New Jersey resident a minimum of 6 months (Submit a 'copy' of your DRIVER'S LICENSE)

Fees & Sponsorships
Application Fee:
In order to become an 'Official Contestant', you must fill out a 'Mrs. America' application which requires
a $50.00 non-refundable application fee. Early entry will enable you to attend all workshops.
Entry Fee and Sponsorships:
Sponsorships for your entry fee can be obtained through family, friends and/or especially businesses.
It is a proven fact that commercial businesses will sponsor contestants in return for receiving invaluable
advertising exposure and business promotion.
Following our proven methods to obtain sponsorships can defer the cost of the entry fee from the contestant.
(Please note that the $50 Application Fee is separate from the actual Pageant Entry Fee.)

As mentioned on our history page, our pageant is often “IMITATED BUT NEVER DUPLICATED”. We are the original and the FIRST 'Mrs.' pageant in the state to include a semi-formal dinner plus workshops throughout the year that provide training by Top Professionals considered to be the best in their field! Seeking individualized training for the advice given in our workshops would cost you thousands of dollars. The Mrs. New Jersey America Organization included this excellent opportunity as part of your Entry Fee. We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy their pageant/learning experience, whether or not you have ever been in a pageant before.
PROVIDED IN THE WORKSHOPS, YOU WILL:
- Learn how to obtain sponsorship funds if needed for your entry fee to defer the cost from yourself.
- Learn how to walk the runway.
- Choose colors that are best suited for your skin color combined with what fits your personality.
- Choose the style of interview suit, evening gown, and swimsuit that are best for your body height and shape.
- Learn proper interview skills: Do's & Don'ts
Sitting properly
Speaking properly
Appropriate hair style
Appropriate make-up
Appropriate jewelry selection
- Learn make-up/hair tips and/or a make-over if desired.
- Learn the difference between make-up for stage & interview.
- Learn how to develop an effective platform.
- Learn Biography Do's and Don'ts.
- Meet our Mrs. New Jersey America Jafra Cosmetic (state sponsor) representatives.
- Meet one of New Jersey's Top Interview Consultants for the 'Miss', 'Ms.' & 'Mrs.' Pageant systems.
- Meet a nationally certified sports medicine nutritionist and fitness trainer who will provide the necessary information to help you achieve a “healthy” physique…for competition & for LIFE!
- Meet one of the Top Pageant Photographers of New Jersey, having photographed more 'Miss', 'Ms.' & 'Mrs.' state winners than any other photographer.
- Meet one of Pageantry's Top Cosmetic Dentists of New Jersey who has created brilliant smiles for hundreds of pageant contestants and winners.

All of the information provided in the workshops is for your learning benefit ONLY. It will be given in a classroom-like setting; HOWEVER, ALL personal information from you will be kept confidential. EXAMPLE: During one of our workshops, we will be discussing 'Platform Development'. Afterwards, there will be a private table for discussion and/or questions if you wish to keep your information confidential. You are not required to adhere to any suggestions made. It is ultimately your choice.
Not choosing to either come to the workshops or adhering to the information given at the workshops has absolutely NO BEARING on the outcome of the pageant. It is solely to make everyone feel completely PREPARED and CONFIDENT come pageant weekend. Again, all information will be given in a classroom style, but no personal information will be shared with any other contestant.
